The NMFS is revising a collection of
information to support the Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) Program
for fixed-gear Pacific halibut and sablefish fisheries off Alaska.
These revisions are needed to comport with adjustment in the IFQ
Program shown to be necessary to make the program more efficient.
The revisions will be used to assure adequate monitoring of fishing
under the IFQ Program. Respondents will be participants in the IFQ
fisheries, including fishermen, buyers, processors, and family
members of Quota Share holders.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
