Abstract: The Perkins III legislation mandates changes in state-level funding and accountability systems. In most cases, the new requirements demand a higher level of system organization and rigor than previously existed. The State Vocational Directors Survedy is one part of an evaluation whose primary purpose is to determine the progress of state efforts to comply with these aspects of the Perkins III requirements.
