FERC 542 is required by the Commission
to track/monitor a variety of natural gas cost categories related
to transportation, capacity and service obligations. The filings
are made by inter- state natural gas pipelines to recover a variety
of transpor- tation associated costs. Most os these FERC-542
tracking filings are scheduled accountings of the cost of fuel or
electric power necessary to operate compressor stations. Others
track the cost of Gas Research Institute fees, the Commission's
annual charge adjustment assessments, and various other cost
reimbursements.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
