Abstract: SSA is testing modifications to the disability determination procedures. One aspect of the test includes notifying claimants of initial determinations of disability of less than fully favorable. A notice will be sent to the claimant offering the oportunity to have a conference with the Disability Adjudicators. Based on the response, Disability Adjudicators can schedule a conference, request additional medical evidence, and/or await the receipt of additional evidence or complete the processing of the claim.
