Abstract: The purpose of Moving Standards Reading is to understand the relationship between state-initiated standards-based reforms and student achievement. The study will assess the impact of grade 4 reading/English language arts content standards and instructional supports on teachers' classroom instructional practices. It will also assess the relationship between instruction aligned with standards and grade 4 student achievement on state-administered reading/English language arts assessments.
