Terms of Clearance: Approved consistent with changes described in NIH memos of 10-3- 01 and 10-10-01. Approval is for two years (with burden adjusted accordingly) since this will give NIH sufficient time to complete this project. In addition the following two terms apply: 1. In any public discussion of the results of this survey, NIH will discuss the response rates, and what effect (if any) they have on interpretations of the results of this study. 2. If response rates for this follow-up fall below 80%, NIH shall conduct a study of non-response to be approved by OMB.

Abstract: This study will collect primary data by mail from male and female AARP members aged 50-69 years. The study is uniquely and explicitly designed to overcome the problem of dietary homogeneity and dietary measurement error. The information is expected to elucidate the relation between diet and several major cancerns.
