This information
collection request is approved consistent with ERS' 10/18/2001
response memo and the following terms: (1) Given the study's
sampling limitations, ERS should emphasize its use as a feasibility
or pilot study and must not attempt to generalize the results (2)
ERS must qualify its use of linked data as being illustrative of
analyses that are possible with such data, and must not attempt to
use the linked data gathered to develop population estimates at any
level of geography or population.(3) ERS must limit its reporting
of results from phase II as agreed in the 10/18/2001 response and
adequately acknowledge the limits of their matching techniques and
linked data sets. (4) ERS must add the OMB approval number and
expiration date as well as the Paperwork Reduction Act burden
statement to survey materials. (5) ERS will report to OMB regarding
the results of data collection.

This project will determine the
characteristics and record linkage capabilities of administrative
date systems used by several food and nutrition assistance
programs. This objective will be accomplished by a survey of
relevant State agencies and school authorities.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
