Forest Service requires eligible
Counties and State to provide a decision as to whether they want to
continue receiving payments under the 1908 Act ("25 Percent Fund
Act") or accept the full payment amount under the new law, PL
106-393, The Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination
Act of 2000. In addition, those eligible counties receiving more
than $100,000 under the new Act must reserve 15-20 percent of their
funds for special projects and must decide whether to reserve those
funds for Title II, Title III or both Titles of the Act.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
