This request is for the clearance of
several survey instruments for the Interim Evaluation of the Moving
to Opportunity (MTO) demonstration program. MTO is a unique
experimental research demonstration designed to learn whether
moving from a high-poverty neighborhood to a low-poverty
neighborhood significantly improves the social and economic
prospects of poor families. Tihs data collection is necessary to
measure impacts approximately 5-years after families were randomly
assigned to the two treatment groups and the control
group.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
