According to
NASA, the collection is not being considered for tra nsformation to
electronic form because it involves technical draw ings and other
documents that are not always susceptible to autom ation. Security
considerations are also an inhibitor at this tim e. OMB approves
clearance at this time; however, as technology ( scanners,
software, secruity tools) improve, and as the digital d ivide
lessens, the next request should allow for electronic data
collection.
