The proposed study will evaluate the effectiveness of NIOSH toolbox safety training programs for construction and mining, industries that continue to have the highest rates of occupational fatalities and injuries. Few evaluations of safety training have investigated the role of the instructional approach or the transfer of safety training information to workplace practices. Through comparisons of narrative and didactic instructional approaches, this study will contribute to knowledge of effective safety training strategies and the development of systematically evaluated.....
