The purpose of this data collection is
to obtain relevant and credible information from an evaluation of
the State Improvement Grant Program in order to (1) make mid-course
programmatic improvements to the program, and (2) describe the
implementation and progress of the Program to Federal officials,
Congress, and other stakeholders. These data also will inform the
reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
(IDEA). Respondents will include SIG Directors, SIG project
evaluators, SEA policymakers, and SIG sub-grant directors in each
of the 36 states with currently funded SIG projects.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
