MARFIN is a cooperative Federal
assistance program that provides funds to projects that help to
optomize the use of a U.S. Gulf of Mexico fishery. Funded topics
may include, but are not limited to, harvesting methods, economic
analyses, processing methods, fishery stock assessment, and fishery
stock enhancement. Persons seeking a grant must file an
application, and successful applicants must file semi-annual and
annual reports on the project.
