About 3.5 million postal, military and civilian workers are solicited by the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) on behalf of at least 30,000 charities annually. CFC's management structure is highly decentralized and is comprised of 366 separate campaigns. Each local campaign maintains independent records of funds donated, the contributor and the designated charity. OPM Online 1417 is used by OPM's Office of CFC Operations to receive information about local campaign results and compile them into a national report.
