Terms of Clearance: This information collection request is approved consistent with the following terms of clearance: (1) FNS will provide OMB with an updated and complete list of potential discretionary grant programs which will use this generic clearance process each year. FNS may add programs to the list periodically, provided that approval is obtained in advance. (2) For each use of this generic clearance package, FNS will provide OMB with an 83-C with the anticipated number of respondents and estimated burden hours and cost. FNS will attach a copy of the specific program narrative & reporting requirements (& any other forms/questionnaires not already approved as standard forms). To expedite handling, these packages may be faxed or e-mailed. Upon receipt, OMB will have 10 working days to review and comment on the package. If FNS doesn't receive any OMB comments after the 10th working day, FNS may assume OMB concurrance & proceed with the grant collection. But, FNS must work with OMB to resolve any outstanding issues that are identified during OMB review - prior to publication. (3) FNS will not require respondents to submit more than one original and two copies of their proposal packages. (4) FNS will ensure that all requests for proposals under this clearance package use standard forms, approved by OMB, whenever practicable.
