In accordance with 5 CFR 1320, this information collection is approved for a period of three years. The agency should revise the questions on race to be consistent with current OMB guidelines. Also, in reporting on the information collected with this instrument, the agency should present real response rates in addition to cooperation rates (which have historically been presented).

The ADAM program monitors the extent and type of drug use among arrestees in 35 sites across the U.S. The Firearms Addendum interview is intended to collect information from this sample of arrestees on their participation in legal and illegal firearms markets, in addition.
