The Commission seeks the three year
OMB approval of this information collection in which the Commission
clarified that when a public safety answering point (PSAP) requests
E911 service from a wireless carrier, and the wireless carrier
challenges the PSAP's ability to receive and use E911 data, the
carrier must provide E911 service within 6 months of the date
service is required, if the PSAP can demonstrate its capability
either by the three-tiered showing detailed in the Order, or by
demonstrating that a funding mechanism is in place and that the
PSAP is Phase 1 capable using a Non-call Associated
Signaling...
