changes and revised forms consistent with CDC memos of 07/31/02 and
08/05/02. CDC is reminded to submit collections of information
involving ten or more persons to OMB for approval, including
collections that are intended to inform instrument development, in
accordance with 5 CFR Part 1320. As per OMB and CDC conference call
on 08/07/02, CDC will submit to OMB a report of response rates when
the collection is completed. If response rates are below 80%, CDC
will not report or publish estimates of the public's perception
about people with epilepsy; CDC will only implement the information
collection to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to
assess the public's perception. If response rates are 80% or
higher, CDC will ensure that groups have sufficient statistical
power to make comparisons. CDC will implement a stratified or
simple random sampling method to select participants. CDC will not
impose quotas on demographic groups.
