OMB has nor yet received or had an opporunity to review agency responses to comment in Docket 11724-6. We are extending the collection for a period of 6 months. Coast Guard may resubmit the ICR and request an additional 2.5 years without additional notice and comment. We strongly urge the USCG to satifactorily address some of the longstanding issues raised in the comment at Docket 11724-6.

Official logbooks identify all particulars of the voyage of a vessel, including the vessel's name, official number, port or registry, tonnage, name of master and crew, nature of the voyage, vessel's draft, drills and inspections, and maintenance of water tight integrity. Logbooks are used by Coast Guard and shipping companies.
