Abstract: This survey collects data on plant capacity from a sample of manufacturing establishments in the United States. The data are used by the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Emergency Manage- ment Agency, the Defense Logistic Agency and the Institute for Defense Analysis. Data are used to measure inflationary pressure change in capital and capacity growth. Data are also used to assess the ability to meet demands under national emergency situations.
