Abstract: The regulations provide a regulatory statement of IRA authority to prescribe what return information or documentation must be filed with a return statement or other document required to be made under any provision of the internal revenue laws or regulations. In addition, the regulations eliminate regulatory impediments to electronic filing of Form 1040.
