under this guidance will be submitted with an 83-C for OMB review
prior to production printing. OMB will review and let NEA know of
any concerns within 10 working days. Major changes to either
guidelines or reporting requirements will require a resubmission of
the entire package under the Paperwork Reduction Act.

Guideline instructions and
applications elicit relevant information from individuals,
non-profit organizations, and state and local agencies that apply
for funding in NEA categories. This information is necessary for
the accurate, fair, and thorough consideration of competing
proposals in the review process. Reporting requirements are
necessary to ascertain that grant projects have been completed and
all terms and conditions are met.
