In RM02-4-000, FERC proposes to make specific changes to its requlations to address the appropriate treatment of critical energy infrastructure information (CEII) inthe aftermath of September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States of America. The proposed rule offers a long-term and more efficient alternative to handling requests for previously public documents than the Freedom of Information Act which FERC used as an interim measure following September 11, 2001.
