The ELS:2002 first followup is the second time this cohort of students who were in 10th grade in 2002 will be interviewed and assessed. The field test for this survey will be conducted in spring 2003 with 53 schools in 5 states. Data will be collected from students, dropouts, and school administrators. The full scale study will be conducted in spring 2004 in 754 schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This longitudinal study is intended to measure school effectiveness and impact on postsecondary and labor market outcomes.
