Abstract: 47 CFR Section 76.1615 requires a cable operator who originates cablecasting to announce the cablecast's sponsorship; however, this does not include any money, service, etc. furnished to identify a person or product for a use related to the cablecast. Political advertising for candicates for public office must be identified with lettering at least 4 percent of the picture's vertical height for at least four seconds. Section 76.1715 requires the cable operator to maintain a list of advertisers and to make the list publicly available when sponsorship announcements are omitted for a "want ad" or ....
