As a part of the State plan
application for McKinney-Vento funds, States are required to assure
that, no later than January 31, 2003, the SEA will provide to the
Secretary for each LEA that received a subgrant from the State's FY
2001 McKinney-Vento allocation the following information for
homeless students served by the subgrant during the 2001-2002
school year, the number of homeless students enrolled in the grade
levels assessed by the State (for 2001-2002) the number of such
students assessed; and number of such students at or above the
State's proficiency level.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
