Terms of Clearance: Approved consistent with changes made in response to public comments, as well as changes detailed in memos dated 1/9 and 1/10. ED will continue to use the currently approved MPN under 1845-0060 while this collection is being phased in, and will accept both types of collections for 1 year. ED will continue to submit change worksheets to adjust the burden for the package as the change-over occurs.

Abstract: The PLUS MPN is the means by which an individual applies for and agrees to repay a Federal Direct PLUS Loan. If an applicant for a Federal Direct PLUS Loan is determined to have an adverse credit history and obtains an endorser, the Endorser Addendum is the means by which an endorser agrees to repay the loan if the borrower does not repay it.
