The RMA (Rubber Manufacturers Association) has petitioned NHTSA to adopt a tire pressure reserve requirement in FMVSS 110. In order to asses the validity of such a request and appropriately reponds, NHTSA must solicit current tire pressure reserve and failure data from the manufacturers of both vehicles and tires.
