This information
collection request is approved for two years conditional upon the
following terms: (1) To eliminate possible confusion between the
CNCS eGrants system and the future govern- ment-wide E-Grants
initiative, CNCS will ensure that the modified 424 forms are
revised to read, "...to conform to the CNCS eGrant system." &
(2) CNCS will revise the "Important Message" on page 3 of the
application to state, "The CNCS eGrants system website will serve
applicants and grantees until the government-wide E-Grants portal
is available for use. It is CNCS' intention to participate in this
E-Gove initiative when it is available." CNCS will also replace the
draft language on page 3 with the PRA- mandated disclosure that
includes the collection's OMB number, expiration date and expected
burden. & (3) OMB also notes that CNCS allowed approval for
this collection to lapse in violation of the PRA. This violation
will be noted in OMB's annual ICB.
