with 5 CFR 1320, this information collection is approved for a
period of 6 months. Upon resubmission, the agency should correct
the race and national origin identification portion of the FAA
application for employment form to be consistent with current OMB
standards on race and ethnicity. The agency should also correct the
public notice section by: 1) changing the title to the "Paperwork
Reduction Act" from "Public Burden Information" and 2) including
the OMB control number.

This collection of information is
necessary for gathering data concerning potential new hires for the
FAA. The information will be used to evaluate the qualification of
applicants for a variety of positions. Without this information
there would be no reliable means to accurately evaluate applicants'
skills, knowledges, and abilities to perform the duties of these
positions.
