Abstract: The Mexican fruit fly regs are being amended by designating a portion of San Diego, CA, as a regulated area and restricting the interstate movement of regulated articles from that area. We are also amending the regulations to provide for the use of irradiation as a treatement for fruits listed as regulated articles. This interim rule will provide an additional option for qualifying those regulated articles for moveement from the regulated areas.
