This information collection has been granted a 6 month approval given that with the promulgation of a final rule on electronic passenger manifests for all passengers, this collection will either (1) require revisions or (2) be rendered unnecessary and/or obsolete. The final rule on electronic passenger manifests is required by Section 402 of the Enhanced Border Security and Visa Reform Act 2002. DHS will ensure that proper notice and comment is received for this forthcoming information collection request.
