Quarterly data on Trade Adjustment
Assistance (TAA) activity is needed for timely program evaluation,
for competent administration, and for providing legally mandated
reports to Congress. Section 231(c) of the Trade Act of 1974 as
amended by the Trade Adjustment Assistance Reform Act of 2002,
requires the states to submit reports to the Secretary on training
waivers issued and revoked.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
