The Service will use the biographical
data collected by the carrier to query the Interagency Border
Inspections System (IBIS) Inspectors at the ports-of-entry then
access the electronic manifest and query results in advance of each
flight's arrival. Upon a arrival the applicant can be rapidly
facilitated through the Service's Transit Passenger Inspection
because of this Advance Passenger Information System (APIS)
check.
