Section 1611(e)(5) of the Social
Security Act precludes eligibility for SSI benefits for certain
fugitives and probation and parole violators. SSA will use the
information collected to suspend SSI benefits for fugitives and
parole violators that are fleeing to avoid prosecution for a crime,
fleeing to avoid custody or confinement after conviction for a
crime or violating a condition of probation or parole. 20 CFR
416.708 specifies that anyone meeting these conditions must report
it to SSA.
