The National Crime Victimization
Survey (NCVS) collects data on the amount and type of crime
committed against households and individuals, age 12 or older, in
93,100 residences. This permits the analysis, publication, and
dissemination of nationally representative information on violent
and property crime in America.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
