Abstract: The exemption permits an employee benefit plan to purchase shares of a registered investment company, the investment adviser for which is a bank or plan adviser that also serves as a fiduciary to the employee benefit plan, in exchange for plan assets transferred in-kind to the investment company from a collective investment fund maintained by the bank or plan adviser.
