Terms of Clearance: Approved for six months. OMB has approved a waiver of compliance with the 1997 Revised Standards for Data on Race and Ethnicity for this collection. CDC is developing an electronic reporting system for the HIV CTS. The new CTS, scheduled for implementation in early 2004, will be compliant with the OMB Race/Ethnicity standards.

Abstract: CDC funds cooperative agreements for 65 HIV Prevention Projects which support counseling, testing, referral, and partner notification programs conducted by official state, local, and territorial public health agencies. CDC is responsible for monitoring and evaluating HIV prevention activities conducted under the cooperative agreements. The HIV Counseling and Testing Report Form provides a simple, complete means to collect data on the number of at-risk persons and the number of persons positive for HIV. Project areas can use these data to target populations at risk by providing health education.....
