Before receiving
its next approval, FERC must comply with the existing terms of
clearance: "This ICR is approved for three years. When FERC
resubmits this, ICR for renewal, it must evaluate, after consulting
with, respondents, the burden estimates for reporting and
recordkeeping requirements. Specifically, FERC should consider the
non-labor, costs associated with record retention. FERC must list
the names, affiliations, and phone numbers of the respondents it
contacted. Although FERC projects a reduction in burden hours and
costs due to reduced record retention requirements in its
supporting statement, burden hours were not adjusted due to the
lack of information on the ratio of staffing hours to records'
storage. Should FERC obtain such information, and if such
information is consistent with the projections made available for
public comment through this supporting statement, FERC may submit a
correction worksheet to OMB to adjust the burden hours associated
with this ICR." Additionally, FERC should consider adding form-604,
if approved, to this OMB number rather than creating a new
collection. Finally, FERC must explain the reduction in electronic
collection from 30% to 0% in the supporting statement to the next
request for OMB approval.
