Abstract: The FCC Form 301 is used to apply for authority to construct a new commercial AM, FM or TV broadcast station or to make changes in exisiting facilities of such a station. On July 2, 2003, the Commission released a Report and Order and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (R&O/NPRM), MB Docket No. 02-277 et al, FCC 03-127. Among other things, the R&O modifies the application process and requires applicants to submit new multiple ownership showings demonstrating compliance with the R&O's ownership rules and to submit amendments to pending applications to demonstrate compliance, as necessary.
