Toxic Chemical Release Reporting, Alternate Threshold for Low Annual Reportable Amounts, Recordkeeping, Supplier Notification and Petitions under Section 313 of the Emergency Planning........
Extension without change of a currently approved collection
This ICR is approved for two years. OMB understands that EPA is exploring options for reducing the burden of the TRI program while still maintaining the practical utility of the data, and is currently accepting public comments on a discussion draft of various burden reduction options. OMB supports this effort and looks forward to an update on progress in this area when it reviews the next ICR submission. The burden approved for this ICR is substantially reduced from that in the previous clearance. This does not represent a reduction in burden, but rather a revised estimate that corresponds to revisions made to the burden estimate for the Form R, since the Form A burden is estimated as 64% of the Form R burden. See ICR 2070-0093 for documentation of the reduced estimate of Form R burden.
