Under Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act, as amended, sources must register, document risk management programs, and submit risk management plans to EPA. The first submissions were received in early 1999. The next submissions for most facilities are due by June 21, 2004. EPA is revising the risk management program regulations (codified in 40 CFR part 68) to add three data elements to the risk management plan, to modify the re-sub- mission schedule for those sources who have significant accidents and for those who change the information for the emergency con- tacts.
