Our plum pox regulations provide for
the payment of compensation to the owners of commercial stone fruit
orchards and fruit tree nurseries who had stone fruit trees or
nursery stock destroyed in order to control plum pox. The payment
of these funds is necessary in order to reduce the economic impact
of the plum pox quarantine on affected commercial stone fruit
growers and fruit tree nursery owners.
