Abstract: This research survey attempts to determine that value of inland surface water quality improvements to households in the United States. This is expected to provide valuable research data and inputs into future Economic Analyses prepared by EPA under E.O. 12866. The researchers plan to recruit voluntary subjects randomly across the United States through telephone recruiting. Subjects will be asked to complete a computer survey from a disk, which will be mailed to them. The researchers intend to admini- ster the survey to 2,800 persons in a nationwide sample.
