On June 26, 2000, USEPA announced the National Environmental Performance Track program as a voluntary program designed to recognize facilities that exhibit best practices in environmental stewardship and management systems. There are currently 309 members in the program. The Outreach Award Application is a means to gather information to formally recognize facilities that are promoting Performance Track by educating the public and encouraging prospective facilities and to join the Perfor- mance Track program.
