Abstract: The proposed amendment to 23 CFR 630, Subpart J addresses the need to better plan, design, and operate highway and road construction and maintenance activities to reduce congestion and crashes due to work zones. This amendment incorporates the current state-of-the practice related to transportaton management strategies to facilitate better transportation network mobility and safety.
