Each year the Commission collects
Congressionally-mandated regulatory fees from its regulatees based
on a schedule of fees that it establishes in an annual rulemaking
process. In the past years, the Commission pulled licensee
addresses from its databases and mailed to these licensees Public
Notices that 1) announced when reg. fees are due; and 2) provided
guidance for making fee payments. For FY2004 regulatory fee season,
we are going to send fee assessments to cable TV operators, media
services licensees, and commercial mobile radio service (CMRS)
licensees so that they can correct any inaccurate data.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
