This one-time voluntary study will investigate what regulatory or analytical processes exist in the states for evaluating whether state/local government laws, regulations, and actions disproportionately place regulatory burdens on small businesses, and what the states are doing to monitor, review, and possibly alleviate those regulatory burdens. Information will be collected by telephone interviews with state representatives knowledgeable about their respective state's efforts.
