CDC aknowledges that the proposed study design will not generate generalizble data. CDC will report results of the study to OMB prior to sharing information with groups outside of the Federal government.

Abstract: This project seeks to solicit information from African-American women about their knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs about breast cancer screening and their local screening provider. We will also examine participants' source, message, and channel preferences for gathering information about health information and services. Respondents will be aged 40-64 years, residents of Georgia, and eligible for participation in the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP).
