Abstract: The Career Survey of Science-Oriented Scholars will evaluate the success of NIH's Undergraduate Scholars Program (UGSP) at raising the probability that outstanding undergraudate students from disadvantaged backgrounds will pursue careers in biomedical research, and attract them to the Intramural Research Program (RP) at the NIH. This information may be used to gauge whether the UGSP is meeting the expectations of program managers and how the program could be improved in the future.
